I can't believe how much I looooove being a mommy... even being a sleep deprived mommy!!
Maddie has had her first pediatrician appointment (April 28th) and she weighed in at 8 lbs 11 ounces... she was 8 lbs 1 ounce when we left the hospital so she is gaining weight at a good rate!! She eats like a horse (gets that from her Daddy) and sleeps like a champ (gets that from her Mommy)!!!
She is now spending a little bit more time awake in between feedings instead of just going right to sleep... we have starting singing songs to her... which she loves! I am convinced that she will be very musical when she grows up (or at least I hope she will be). Maddie has had soooo many visitors over the past few weeks and has even went on a few outings. We have visited Grammy and Grampy (and Linda) and also went to Aunt Kelly & Uncle Scott's for dinner. Maddie's cousins Kamy & Reagan were sooo excited about holding the baby, it was adorable. They kept fighting over her :o)
So far she HATES getting a bath, but I think it is only because she has been having sponge baths and I feel like she gets too cold. Her cord stump finally fell off tonight so I am going to give her the best bubble bath EVER tomorrow and hopefully she likes that a little better!
Bella and Canon have been absolute angels... I am actually shocked by HOW well they have done. I knew that they would be fine, but I figured we would need an adjustment period... NOPE! From day one they have been gentle and even a little protective.
Getting lots of puppy lovin' from Bella Stella... Maddie has already received quite a few open mouth kisses from both Bella & Canon!! We just say we are getting her "used to germs" :o)
